More than Basic Mechanical Ventilation in Emergency Medicine Course is a 2 days course designed for specialists, emergency medicine master students and medical officers who involve in managing critically ill patients. The aim of this course is to provide a platform to improve the basic knowledge on ventilator management.
The scope of this course will be focusing in-depth on the fundamental knowledge of mechanical ventilation and introduction to advanced and non-conventional ventilator modes. Discussion will involve clinical based scenarios along with normal lecture presentation style. Basic Mechanical Ventilation Workshop for Paramedic (BMVP) was specifically designed for paramedics: Assistant Medical Officers( AMOs) and staff nurses (SNs) who involved with critical care, emergency and prehospital care. This course was initially started in year 2017 in Emergency Department, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun with intention to improve the knowledge about the management, care and troubleshooting of ventilator of our own staffs.
